To visit the NKBA site please click on this link. www.nkba.org NKBA Quick FactsAbout the NKBA: The National Kitchen & Bath Association is an international non-profit organization that serves and represents the firms and individuals involved in all aspects of the residential kitchen and bathroom industry. NKBA was incorporated in 1963 as the American Institute of Kitchen Dealers and changed its name to NKBA in 1983 to represent the entire industry. As the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the kitchen and bath industry, NKBA is the leading source of information and education for consumers and professionals alike. To date, the NKBA serves over 30,000 members and growing. The Association is currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary. Mission Statement: The Mission of the National Kitchen & Bath Association is to enhance member success and excellence by promoting professionalism and ethical business practices, and providing leadership and direction for the kitchen and bathroom industry. Goals: To become the leading information resources for developing and maintaining an educated work force, resulting in a higher level of professionalism To identify, evaluate and promote emerging technologies for the benefit of members To develop and implement consumer awareness and brand identification programs To promote membership growth and retention To monitor and influence the development of public policy and legislation to benefit the kitchen and bath industry Membership: NKBA comprises nearly 11,000 companies and more than 30,000 individuals in the following member groups in the United States and Canada: Associates Cabinet Shops Certified Kitchen Designers Certified Bathroom Designers Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Installers Dealers Decorative Plumbing/Hardware Distributors Fabricators Manufacturers Manufacturers' Representatives Multi-Branch Retail Associates Chapters: NKBA has over 60 chapters and several subchapters & student chapters in North America. Each is led by volunteer leaders and in turn, is networked in eight regions to promote chapter and member growth and development. Programs: NKBA sponsors a wide range of programs for its members including public relations/marketing services and educational seminars on business management, kitchen and bathroom design, customer service and the like. In addition, NKBA offers a certification program to individual designers who aspire to become Certified Kitchen Designers, Certified Bathroom Designers, or Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Installers. NKBA Publications: NBKA publishes a quarterly magazine specifically geared to the interests and concerns of its members entitled NKBA Profiles. Woman's Day Kitchens and Baths, a special interest publication, is the official consumer publication of the NKBA. All NKBA voting members receive this publication four times each year. K/BIS: The Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference showcases products that change the kitchen and bath industry through their innovation and ability to meet the needs of the marketplace.
